Crumble's own words
| Term | Meaning |
| Round-up | Rounding the swap you are making to the next $1, $5 or $10 and investing the difference. |
| Change | The difference itself. What a till would hand back. |
| Crumb | The change on its way into a stock. Nothing comes off it. |
| Basket | The stocks you chose and the weight of each. Kept in your browser, since there is no contract to keep it in. |
| Leg | One line of the basket. A crumb buys one leg, not all of them. |
| Weight | A leg's share of the basket, in percent. The whole basket adds up to 100. |
| The Oven | The buy-back and burn of $CRUMBLE, funded by the project rather than by anyone using the app. |
| Preview mode | A state the app can be put in where it prices and quotes but sends nothing. |
Words from Solana
| Term | Meaning |
| Instruction | One step inside a transaction. A Crumble round-up is six of them. |
| Atomic | All the instructions in a transaction succeed together or fail together. Never half. |
| 1232 bytes | The hard size limit on a transaction. The single number that shapes this product most. |
| Mint | A token's address. The only reliable way to tell two tokens apart, since symbols can be copied. |
| Token account | A small account that holds one token for one owner. Yours, not ours. |
| Rent | The refundable deposit that keeps an account alive. About 0.0015 SOL for a token account. |
| Token-2022 | The newer token standard. Every stock token uses it, and its accounts live at different addresses than classic ones. |
| Lamport | The smallest unit of SOL. A billionth. |
| Blockhash | A recent block a transaction is tied to. It goes stale after a couple of minutes, which is why quotes expire. |
| Address lookup table | A way of referring to accounts by index instead of in full, so more fits inside those 1232 bytes. |
| Incinerator | An address nobody holds the key to. Sending tokens there is how a burn is proved rather than promised. |
Words from the exchange
| Term | Meaning |
| Jupiter | The router. It quotes across Solana's liquidity and returns the instructions for the best route it finds. |
| Pool | A pair of tokens somebody has put up to be traded against. |
| Route | The chain of pools a swap takes from what you are paying with to what you are buying. |
| Hop | One pool in that chain. More hops means a bigger transaction, which is why route size matters here. |
| Price impact | How much your own order moves the price. On a crumb this size it rounds to nothing. |
| Slippage | How far the price may move against you between the quote and the fill. Past it, the transaction reverts and nothing is spent. |
| xStocks | Tokenized shares issued by Backed. What the change buys. |
| USDC | The stablecoin most Solana pools price against. |
| Wrapped SOL | SOL packaged as an ordinary token so pools can hold it. The app unwraps any leftover automatically. |
